Struma Dolinata Beach is situated in Olympiada, a scenic village located on the northeastern coast of Halkidiki (Greece), on the road to the Athos peninsula. The apartment has an excellent location: it stands in a quiet road on the outskirts of the village, at 400m from the centre and 150m from the beach.
You can get there in different ways.
BY PLANE you can travel through the airports of Thessaloniki and Kavala.
Arriving on THESSALONIKI AIRPORT "MAKEDONIA" (SKG), you have 2 options:
1) rent a car at the airport. We recommend to check the website of Rentalcars in advance for interesting offers.
2) continue your journey by bus. Every 30 minutes Bus Route Nr. X1 “KTEL – Airport” brings you to the "Makedonia" Regional Coach Terminal (KTEL, 2 EUR/pers). There you have a bus twice a day: at 05:30 (except on Sundays, then it's at 16:00) and at 12:00 (noon). The price is 4,50 EUR per person one way. It will take 1h45 to reach Olympiada.
Arriving on KAVALA AIRPORT "MEGAS ALEXANDROS" (KVA), the best option is to rent a car at the airport. We recommend to check the website of Rentalcars in advance for interesting offers.
Travelling by bus will take too much time because there is no direct bus between Kavala and Olympiada, only via Thessaloniki (travel time 6 hours).
BY CAR: the GPS coordinates are Latitude: 40.594216 | Longitude: 23.77875
These coordinates will bring you in front of a narrow street which you need to take to reach the apartment.
Coming from BULGARIA, we advise to take the road E79 to Serres. From Serres take the small road to Nigrita - Arethousa - Rentina up to Stavros. From Stavros you can follow the coastal road to Olympiada. The easiest way to find the apartment is to take the second entrance of Olympiada, which is on the big crossroad of the Epar. Od. Stavrou - Neas Chalkidikis (where you are driving) with the Epar. Od. Varvaras - Marathousas.
